United Way Initiatives

Your United Way supports several initiatives outside our Community Impact Grant. Below you can read more about these initiatives and learn how members of our community can support them.

The Quality Improvement Partnership Network

allows your United Way to work one on one with nonprofit organizations and community leaders to expand the capacity of programs and support leaders at a deeper level. Not only does your investment allow your United Way to support organizations financially, but also through collaboration and capacity building, to increase the sustainability of programs in our area, expanding their ability to reach more people.

Clothing for Kids

The Clothing for Kids Closet program was established to help students and families in need at our four (4) local school districts and to help equip school staff to meet needs with a point in time service. The closets are supported through funding from United Way of Greater Baytown Area and Chambers County, as well as materials and time generously donated by volunteers and community members.

The mission of this program is to provide students with new or gently used clothing appropriate for school at the time of their need without redirecting them to a third-party provider.
