Workplace Campaign

What is a Workplace Campaign?

Workplace giving is an easy and effective way to help employees make a difference and show them that their workplace is actively supporting the local community’s most important issues. Without a doubt, the workplace campaign is the most high-profile United Way fundraising activity across the world

A workplace campaign is a coordinated effort within a company or organization to engage employees in supporting a charitable cause, such as United Way. These campaigns typically involve raising funds through employee donations, either through one-time contributions or payroll deductions. Workplace campaigns often include various activities and events to generate excitement and participation, such as kickoff events, team challenges, volunteer opportunities, and educational sessions about the work of United Way in the community.

The goal of a workplace campaign is to encourage employees to come together as a community, support a common cause, and make a positive difference in their local area. In many cases, the donations from employees are matched by the company, which makes their charitable contributions go further. Your organization may also receive recognition for your involvement.

Employee workplace campaigns provide critical support to United Way of Greater Baytown Area & Chambers County. In fact, the majority of funds raised come directly from individuals who are locally employed and who decide to contribute to a common goal: meeting the needs of our community.

Employee Campaign Coordinator (ECC) awards are always a high point of recognition. ECCs are the individuals who bear the main responsibility for engaging, coordinating, and often educating employees in their workplace about United Way. These are the individuals who organize schedules and meetings, who send out communications about the campaign events and deadlines, and who encourage their coworkers to participate with United Way, whether as a donor, a volunteer, or an advocate.
